Just got my For Keeps Issue #42 and OMG I have to say being a NZer the NZ girls are so rockin this issue. So many cool pages. Awesome issue. Heaps of cool Aussie chicks pages too. In fact it's all cool.
Thanks Nic for the Freestyle blog link. I am so badly hanging out for this book.
Watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today with Emma on Sky Box Office. It was OK. I love Johnny Depp but preferred him in Pirates of the Carribean and Chocolat - mmmmm hot.
Have new music - Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez - nice and mellow.
Found this cool website - Poppy Ink. Love Heather Burch's stuff - check out her stuff in the gallery.

A layout using new Scenic Route. MMmmm.
The velvet flourishes are cut out of material Yolande, Sharon and I bought the other day during our outing. Cool material but fiddly to cut out. The other piece of material with the blue in it is from Tarisota Collections along with the ribbons.
Now the funny thing about this photo is when the guy brought out the tea for me I just laughed cause I drink tea in a huge mug and this was the size of one of those Espresso cups. Had to have 4 cups of tea to satisfy me. The tea pot was the normal size.

Surfing and photo printers
Picked up James from the airport yesterday. He had a great time. He came 3rd in the semi's so unfortunately didn't make the finals but he did so well to get that far. He's so lucky to get around to these different places to surf. He'd never been to the South Island before and esp to Dunedin which is renowned for good big surf.
Someone was asking about surfing in the cold water - he has a winter wetsuit and also booties so no worries there.
They had an awesome uniform (which they keep) - sponsored by Globe - hat, t-shirt, jacket, black denim pants, shoes and socks. Here's a pic of him in it - cool jacket; it's reversible. I'm so glad he made the Auckland Scholastics team this year as this is his last year at school so won't qualify for it after this year. He has been in the Auckland team for the last 4 years so he's had a good run.
Guess what!! After spending the day with Yolande and Sharon in Hamilton the other day and seeing Sharons cool Epson Picturemate printer I had to get one. So I got it yesterday. Yolande has bought one too. Sooo cool to print photos straight away and great quality too. I couldn't believe it when I first saw Sharon's - Yolande and I just looked at each other and we both knew we had to have one. Funny. Now I just need a new sewing machine.
Off to pick up Emma today who's been away for a week at our friends place on the North Shore. So we'll be a full family house again.
It's pouring with rain here at the mo - hope the Anzac parades don't get ruined.

Slack again!! Time for an update.
I had the awesomest day yesterday. I met Yolande and Sharon in Hamilton and we had heaps of fun shopping, eating a yummy lunch and having lots of laughs. Was Greaatt. Just what the doctor ordered.
I'm having a button thing at the mo (among other things) so bought lots of cool buttons, and we went a bit mad (yeah silly, crazy) in the material department of Spotlight. Was very funny. Cooool material.
Yolande and I talked heaps about Scrapcamp. It's going to be so cool. We have good things planned. Cool classes, delicious demos, great games and challenges; and of course scrumptious supplies for sale. Oohh yeah it's going to be good.
In other news, my boy is doing extremely well in the National Scholastics surf comp in Dunedin this week. He has made it to the semi-finals. Yeehaa. Go James.
I start my new job on Monday 1st May at Scrappin Downunder in Takanini. Working in the shop 3 days and also designing and running classes. Cool fun. Can't wait.
That's it for now.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Speeches, gifts and 3Bugs.
It went well. I said a little speech and it was all good. Here I am saying my speech. LOL what's with the hand on the hip.
Check out the awesome leaving gift they gave me. This cool outdoor seat, carved, with paua shell set in it. Vey comfy too. And the beautiful flowers. The assembly was cool. They sang songs for me - so cute. Gave me special cards they'd made. A couple of speeches. I'd love to show you the cute kids but you know the internet thing and all.
A layout. 3Bugs in a rug. Yes I did submit it for the DT call. Gotta give it a go aye. Cute as papers. Especially love the circle one.

Last Day today
It's my last day of work at Puni School today. Bit sad really. Though I am sooooo excited about going to work in a scrapbooking shop. They're giving me a farewell assembly. Got to think what to say. I hate speeches. May have pics later.

Kirsty's blog challenge
I thought for fun I would give this a go. Here's my layout for the challenge on Kirsty's blog. It has sat on my desk for over a week as I mulled over a title and wording. I find titles so hard cause I like to do something different. I did enjoy putting it together. Check out her challenge.

Happy Birthday James
It's my boys birthday today. He's 17. Happy Birthday James. Love ya heaps and heaps.
I went into Photoshop today to do this photo of James and all my brushes had gone. I still had them saved on my computer and had to reload the ones I wanted. What's with that!! How can you load them and then keep them there. Can anyone help me?
Good news lately on the submitting front - 3 layouts accepted for Scrapbook Creations and 2 for Up2Scrap (thanks Evana for the RAK)

60 people for Scrapcamp!! Wow!!
That went fast - the days between last time I blogged and now.
I see Yolande has updated her blog; and I also see we have 60 people for Scrapcamp. How cool is that!! Can't wait to meet you all.
Yesterday we went to a wedding. What a lovely wedding it was too. The couple were actually friends of James' through surfing. When we first shifted to Port Waikato James made friends with Josh and Jacob - brothers from a lovely lovely family - and we have gotten to know them really well over the last few years. Josh married Marlies yesterday.
Anyway the reception was at a school out in the country and I found this cool mural painted on a wall in the school grounds of NZ native birds, plants and animals.
Quite like this photo James took of me in front of it. Check out the Kereru (wood pigeon) looking at me.
And a better look at the mural with James and his girlfriend Jayde in front of it. LOL at the Tuatara.
