Do this cool Numbers Photo Calendar with me

I LOVE this!!!

I want to make one!!!

SO I was thinking, hhhmmm thats not going to be easy to find all those cool numbers to photograph. I need 1 - 31 and all the letters of the days of the week. So I've been brewing a plan. I thought what if other people wanted to do this as well and we all took photos around New Zealand of cool, funky numbers and letters and grouped them all together and then we could pick the numbers we like and all make our own calender from numbers around New Zealand.

HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!!

So then I thought I could post it here and see who was keen and then set up a group in Flickr for people to add their photos and I'm sure in no time we'll have our NZ Numbers photo calendar.

HERE'S where the idea originated. They have a link to groups already set up on Flickr with numbers but I wanted mine to be ideally my photos but I soon realised that would be too hard so the next best thing would be photos taken by people I know around NZ.

OK, so who's interested. Leave a comment and if we get enough people I'll set up a group and we'll start taking number and letter photos. Can't wait to get this going and see who wants to join me.

new LO and TTV's

We have new Basic Grey in at work. I did this LO using Ambrosia. Love the designs and colours, reminds me of hippy days. YUM!! LO inspired by this LO of Dina Wakleys. AND, I have just discovered Textures for layering over photos or TTV's or whatever they are called. Much easier then brushes I reckon. Here's a photo I did quickly yesterday, remember this is the first one I've ever done, I just grabbed this old photo to experiment on, LOL, look at James' face. But honestly, so easy, has anyone else used them. I love them already and there's so many on the net for free. Check them out on Flickr.
Have you seen the new Crafters Workshop templates being released at CHA. Oohh my goodness. Check them out here. Esp this one and this one.

First projects of 2009

Firstly thank you Amanda for the Lovely Blog Award. I'll post it in my next post along with some other lovely blogs.

This is a LO I've just done for Fiskars using more of the Cloud 9 Christmas Joy Papercraft kit.
And these are some projects I did with the Jan Qtea kit. The lavender satchet is made with goregous fabric, trims and a crotchet flower from the kit. How cute is that fabric.

Sauce bottle labels punched from notepaper in the kit.

And yep that's my homemade tomato sauce, YUM!! Haven't made any for a few years but was determined to this year. I'm making more this weekend too.And a LO using some of the kit. FUN!! Qtea has such funky kits.

have a nice weekend

My boys birthday and some LO's

A random act of blogging, LOL, because I don't do it much these days and I would like to but I hate doing it on my computer at home. Today I'm at work super early so have a chance finally.

It's James birthday tomorrow, happy birthday dude, 19 years old, whew where did that time go man.

Anyway, thought I'd share a couple of LO's while I'm here.

This first one is a canvas I did for NZ Dares and the start of my obsession with Kobi Yamada quotes particularly the She ones from this book. Here is a link to a list of them. I used goodies from a Qtea kit and Fiskars letter stamps. It is for my scraproom wall when it ever gets finished.

We have a huge range of awesome designer fabrics at Scrapbook Studio now and I wanted to do a LO using this gorgeous floral fabric. I also used the very cool Bazzill Stitchz templates at the bottom there. Yummo and so easy. And another Kobi Yamada quote; also some Qtea kit stuff.

I did this LO for the Qtea March kit and it won me a spot in the SIS TV Catwalk last week. So rapt. Another Kobi Yamada quote too, hehe.

And this LO was a Scrapjack of Janine Langer and was one of the favourites. Rapt again!!!

And this LO of my Dad for the latest NZ Dares to 'scrap a childhood memory'. What a great dare. It made me realise how many childhood memories I need to get down on paper not just in my head and telling my kids, it needs to be written somewhere. We are very lucky to have this dare sponsored by Digital Scrapbook Place.
Lastly, Book of Me month at the Fiskars blog - each day we're posting BOM prompts. Some great ideas for LO's, check them out each day. This LO was for April the 2nd - What did you have for lunch today?

Easter fun

Check out the Fiskars blog this Easter weekend for some great games, challenges and prizes.

SCRAPCAMP

to be held May 23rd - 25th at Rotorua.

Wahoo. It's gonna be so much FUN! FUN! FUN!

Qtea kit fun

Got my Qtea Kits on Friday and couldn't wait to have a play. Here's a couple of LO's so far. The Chocolate Kisses kit was perfect for this fun photo of Rob & I taken with my Lomo Fisheye camera.

And this LO for the latest Scrap the Teenz Summer Fun theme using Qtea's Phone Gnome kit.
James left today for Uni again but this time he's going flatting and we won't see so much of him this year. He will probably pop home occasionally but not every weekend like last year. Boohoo, I'm gonna miss him so much.

Emma

Can you believe she's 16 today, I can't. She had a party at home on Saturday night which went as good as a 16 year olds party can go I suppose, a couple of problems but nothing too bad. She seemed to have a good time. And tonight we are having a yummy dinner at home.

Emma is leaving school this year and going to the Cut Above Hairdressing Academy in Auckland city for 2 years. She is so excited.

Oh that's the card I made her up there.

Kiwijack and NZ Dare

Wow I can't believe I got Kiwijacked - how cool, thanks heaps guys, I'm totally rapt. Check out the cool LO's the girls have done.

Here's my card for the latest NZ Dare to use a photo on a Valentines card. Such a cool idea of Jo's, you can use one of your own or one from the net somewhere like I did from Flickr, I just did a search for 'hearts'.

Acrylic album class and Fiskars LO's

This is a class I'm teaching at Scrapbook Studio. See here for details.

And these are 2 LO's I did using the Fiskars Cloud 9 dog and cat ranges. so great for pet LO's. Everything on both LO's is Fiskars except the c/s.

There's a blinkie competition over at the Fiskars blog if you want to check it out. A cool prize is up for grabs.

The best news

I made the Qtea kits DT. I am so rapt. I absolutely adore these kits; a creative selection of unique accessories, vintage finds, handmade items and funky fabrics. Here is a LO I did using some items from the kits.

Here is my LO for the latest NZ Dare to scrap something that Tickles Your Fancy. This sign in Pukekohe always Tickles my Fancy because they always have a message on it, something to think about and have a giggle about.

where has my sidebar gone

Just testing to see if I post something if it will come back.

And it did. Whew!! Was panicking a bit then. That's my main linkage to other sites.

While I'm here I might as well share a LO I did for Scrapbook Studio for a challenge I set to make your own p/p to use as a background or on your LO somewhere. I did my back ground with these cute foam Star stamps from SS.

Look out for a new NZ Dare this Friday coming. It's a goodie!!

Fiskars

I really need to update more often don't I. So much has happened since my last post over 2 months ago - how shocking is that!!
Well I guess I am finally posting because I have some news. I am one of a new team of NZ Fiskars Ambassadors. It's all very exciting and I am absolutely rapt to be part of this awesome team. Go here to see the rest of the team.
