Happy Birthday James

And the next birthday rolls around and I haven't posted here for a month. Oh dear. We have been really busy. I have managed to do a little creating though, just not time to put it on here. And Music Tuesday is looking pretty sad. I'll line one up for next week.

First of all and most importantly it was James' birthday today. 23 years old. Happy Birthday mate, hope you have had the best day!!

Where oh where has that time gone. It sucks really. I do sometimes wish I had it over again, though we shouldn't dwell on the past and should look to the future.
I started this post this morning and now it is nearly 10pm. So I'll be back tomorrow, I hope.

Happy Birthday Rob

It was Rob's 50th birthday on Tuesday. He doesn't like birthdays like I do. But what he doesn't know is I have a little surprise planned for him this weekend.  We went out for the day, it was our day off, and out for dinner, then the big surprise on Saturday night. Quite exciting really.

We had a very busy week last week which is why I haven't posted anything for ages. Still pretty busy but starting to ease off. Not happy about the colder weather we're having though. I was thinking yesterday how I've only been for about 4 swims this summer which is shocking for me. I can't believe what a horrible summer we've had.

Here is a cool video of the Hyundai Longboard comp this weekend gone. It shows a little of how beautiful our little area is.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

What a busy few days it has been. Had a great day for my birthday. Here are some photos.
Had a nice lunch with James and my BFs.

Walked around the market at Aotea centre. Colour and patterns everywhere.

The old Farmers Santa still hanging in there. Now on the Whitcoulls building in Queen St.

Then we had dinner at Daikoku with family. That was so much fun! Definitely going back. Emma couldn't make the day, she had to work. 

I had scallops. They were goooood.

I do love nights in the city at Xmas.

Been working since. Despite the rain we have had a fairly busy Holiday Park and today is finally our day off. Hence the blog update.

Birthday Month Day 30

A bottle of Lindhauer to drink tonight in the city. We are staying at Skycity tonight and tomorrow for my birthday we will spend the day in Auckland. Then in the evening we are having dinner at Daikoku on Quay St with the family. Exciting!!

Florence and the Machine CD today. Some good listening to be done today while we work.

Our local Port Waikato Xmas Parade was held on Saturday. It was a beautiful hot sunny day and we spent the day preparing our Port Waikato TOP 10 Holiday Park float. Not a lot of thought went into it really, we just loaded it up with everything we could think of in a camping theme. Thats what we do. Added some tinsel and we were off. Threw lollies to the kids. Though I think most of the kids in Port Waikato were in the parade lol. Still its a great community thing and we get together at the end for prize giving and a BBQ and then we head home. Just in time for the weather to turn to crap.

Birthday Month Day 28

Todays treat is a bar of Toblerone. Yummy, yummy!!

I finally finished this quilt made of fat quarters, other bits of fabric and a couple of bandannas too and some blanket stitching. My first and probably my last quilt. Too hard with just a basic machine. But I really like how it has turned out. Nice and colourful for summer.

A bottle of Lindhauer today. Lucky I didn't drink too much last night, haha.

Speaking of which. My lovely lovely friends Nic and Lucy organised a few drinks and yummy food for my birthday at Nics place last night. I am so lucky to have such awesome friends. This was my birthday 'cake'. How cool is that idea. So funny!! Love it!! You guys rock!!

And todays treat. A Holga camera. I've wanted one for ages and ages. Can't wait to play, esp when my Instax is faulty and I have to take it back and hopefully get it replaced.

It gets closer and closer to Xmas. Time is flying by.
Todays treat is a sweet dish from Bed, Bath and Table. They have beautiful things, I especially love the linen. Not cheap though, but gorgeous.

I made this cute Xmas tree canvas inspired by Christy Tomlinson. I love to go against the grain and use non traditional colours for Xmas.

Ferrero Rocher chocs today. Yum, yum. Sweet balls of chocolatey, hazelnutty goodness. Damnit I snapped them upside down, too funny.

And some Christmassy crafting. I made these giant wall rosettes after seeing the ones Jennifer McGuire made on her blog. Need a closeup I think, when I get time.

I can't believe I have kept this up, blogging every day that is. Well almost every day, had a slip up the other day.
Lucky me, I have another bracelet and necklace as my treat today. Gorgeous bohemian jewellery from Just Jeans. Yum, yum.

How about a Pinterest favourite. Aren't these amazing. It says they are real. Imagine how much they cost.

Birthday Month Day 18

An awesome set of bracelets is todays treat. So excited to get these. I love the hippie feel of them, brings back memories. There's so much cool stuff around, it drives me crazy. Lovely jewellery and clothes.

Birthday Month Day 16 & 17

Yesterday's treat was an icing set from the $2 shop. Sweet!! Now I can practice some fancy cupcake icing ideas. Haha.

Today's treat is this delicious smelling soap from the Trade Aid shop. Cheap! Great stocking filler too. Love that shop.
